If you’re tired of having mud slung off the tires and into your lap it may be time for some UTV fender flares for your side by side.
When it comes to UTV fender flares, also known as overfenders, there’s not a whole lot to choose from. You got Maier and Premier UV Products and Premier UV makes the fender flares for Kolpin, Moose and Quadboss. Fender flares come in black, carbon fiber and stock OE colors to match OE UTV colors. Not all retailers carry all the varieties so you may be forced to shell out a little extra to get the OE colored fender flares if that’s what your looking for, but everyone has the textured black fendercovers.
You can choose to get the regular fender flares or the flares with the extenders which add a little extra width for extra coverage. The only thing you have to watch when getting the flares with the extenders is if you ride trails in public forests that have gates or posts at the entrance of the trail and these are usually 60in. apart, just enough to squeeze the UTV tires through. If your extenders are past the 60in measurement you may have a problem trying to pass through those gates. Not all models of UTV have this challenge, just the ones with the extra wide stances.
Prices of fender flares vary mostly by which model of UTV their going on. The Yamaha Rhino is the cheapest model to buy flares for and the Polaris RZR comes in second.
Like always, we included a list of UTV/Side X Side fender flare manufactures and the best places to get them. If you have anything to add to the post please feel free to comment below, it’s what it’s there for.
