The Maxxis Bighorn is the stock Polaris RZR tires. It’s been a strong favorite for many years among RZR owners. Because of the success of that tire many brands developed models that were very similar to the Bighorn’s tread pattern and features.
As the RZR market has grown and riders from all over the country have built their machines for specific types of riding the need for more specialized tires has grown exponentially. Tires specifically for high speed Baja riding with 8-ply, radial construction and extreme 30 inch plus ATV mud tires with 2 inch treads have become readily available from all tire brands. The choices in RZR tires have never been so crazy.
The RZR comes with three sizes of wheels, the steel 12 inch wheels and the 12 inch and 14 inch aluminum wheels. RZR tires are commonly the same height/diameter on the front and back and traditionally you’d want to keep a narrower tire size up front. On Baja style builds it’s common to see the same size tire on the front and back.
