One of the best accessories you can install has got to be ATV beadlock wheels. Beadlock rims are one of those types of accessories that allow you to totally change the way you drive your quad or side x side. Beadlocks allow you to run harder and faster and conquer routes that were just too sketchy to try with a traditional wheel and tire setup.
If you’re not familiar with beadlock wheels the engineering is quite simple in theory. Basically this style of wheel allows the bead of the tire to be seated in between the outer rim of the wheel and then a special ring/plate is then tightened to the outside of the wheel with bolts to clamp or squeeze the bead of the tire to the rim. Now the bead is securely clamped in the wheel and is unable to become unseated breaking the bead.
These wheels are great for riders who like to ride hard, race, rock crawl, like to ride with low tire pressure or have powerful machines that tend to spin the wheel inside the tire.
One of the cool things about beadlocks wheels is that the outer ring/plate strengthens the wheel allowing it to take a real beating before the rim will actually bend and on top of that the outer plate acts like a guard protecting the rest of the rim. So if you end up tearing up the outside ring by bashing the wheel off a rock all you have to do is replace the outer ring, not the whole wheel.
